ICE WARRIORS™ rekindles the epic struggle and passion of superpowers dueling for world supremacy (on the ice). In a never before—and likely never again event—an alumni group comprised of former professional hockey players traveled to the former Soviet Union to battle the best ever on ice in a Russian uniform.

It was a different kind of Cold War in Spring 2005—this time played out on ice and in seven games over ten days throughout the former Soviet Union. The “Ice Warriors™”, comprised mostly of the Red Wings Alumni Association, met their Russian opponents face-to-face both on the ice and off—to relive hockey history. On the ice, it was again going for the glory with each team showing the power, pride and confidence it takes to play this game. Off the ice, it was defined by the mutual respect, desire, passion and brotherhood that drives world-class athletes to compete at the zenith of their sport.

Sure they’re older. They’re also wiser. And nostalgic and passionate about their game of hockey, the friendships, the enemies as well as the triumphs and failures.

And, they still got game.
